Burkhalter's Coffee Table

Looks like I already posted this video last year. Oh well, it’s worth doubling up on.

If you look closely at 1:20, you can tell that the band isn’t really playing their instruments.

…but seriously, I love love love this cover of the Velvelettes’ (also terrific) 1964 Motown hit. Bananarama and Fun Boy Three do up the track with stylized percussion and half-asleep vocals, placing it not too far from The Slits or Bow Wow Wow.
